About PSD to PNG
PSD to PNG is for the moment someone sends you a Photoshop file and you just need to see it or use it. Upload the PSD and you get a flattened PNG of the whole design, taken from the merged image Photoshop stores in the file. Transparent areas stay transparent, and PNG keeps every pixel without loss. Logo designs can then be traced into a scalable vector with PNG to SVG.
A few things to know. Layers aren't exported separately, so you get the combined result. The merged image is only there if the file was saved with Maximize Compatibility turned on; without it, the PNG may show a blank canvas or a notice instead of the design. 8-bit PSDs work, but 16- and 32-bit documents aren't supported. CMYK files are converted to RGB, so colors can shift slightly.
