About NEF to JPG
NEF to JPG gives Nikon photographers a fast way from RAW to a finished picture. NEF is the RAW format of Nikon cameras, full of detail and editing headroom but large, and unreadable by most phones, social networks and print kiosks.
Upload the NEF and download a JPG. Auto brightness is on by default and lifts underexposed frames to a balanced level; turn it off to keep the exposure you set in camera. Quality is set to 90 to begin with. When you want full control over color and tone, a RAW editor such as Nikon's NX Studio is the better place, but for a quick copy to share, this saves you installing anything.
