Drawings to PDF and images

DWG to PDF and DXF to PDF print the model space or every layout, in colour, black lines or grayscale, on A4 to A0 paper or a page that fits the drawing. DWG to Image saves JPG or PNG at the width you set, on the background colour you choose. Zoom to fit the whole drawing makes sure nothing is cut off at the edges.

Between formats and versions

DWG to DXF and DXF to DWG move drawings between programs. The CAD Version Converter saves a drawing for AutoCAD 2018, 2013, 2010, 2007, 2004 or 2000, so a colleague with older software can open it. DXF is also the safest format to send to someone who uses a different CAD program.

From PDF and pictures back to CAD

PDF to CAD rebuilds lines and text from a vector PDF as an editable DWG, and PDF to DXF gives clean paths for laser cutting and CNC. Which files will the CAD converter accept?

Can a CAD converter turn a scanned drawing into DWG?
Not from a scan. PDF to CAD needs a vector PDF exported from a CAD program, while a clean line drawing or logo can go through Image to DXF.
How do I open a new DWG in an older AutoCAD?
Run it through the CAD Version Converter and pick your release, from AutoCAD 2018 down to 2000. Save as DWG, or as DXF if another program has to read it.
