About PNG to JPG
Convert PNG to JPG when an image is too heavy to email or an upload form only takes JPG. PNG stores every pixel without loss, which is ideal for editing but makes photos and large screenshots bulky. JPG drops detail your eye barely notices and gives you a far lighter file. For forms that only take JPG, iPhone photos in HEIC format can be converted with HEIC to JPG.
JPG can't store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the Background color you pick, white by default, and soft edges blend into it smoothly. The Quality slider starts at 90; from 90 up, color detail is saved at full resolution, which keeps red text and thin colored lines crisp. Resize sits under More options, and Keep photo info (EXIF) decides if camera details stay in the file.
How to use PNG to JPG
- 1Upload your PNG
Click Choose file or drop the PNG on the page. Free accounts can convert files up to 50 MB, VIP up to 1 GB.
- 2Set quality and background
Move the Quality slider, pick a Background color for transparent areas and open More options if you want to resize.
- 3Click PNG to JPG
The image is converted on our server in its own isolated process.
- 4Download the JPG
Save the file. It keeps the original name with a .jpg ending, so logo.png becomes logo.jpg.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Background color you choose
Transparent areas become white, black or any color you pick, and semi-transparent edges blend into it instead of turning jagged.
- Quality from 10 to 100
90 is the default. At 90 and above, color detail keeps its full resolution; lower values make the file smaller still.
- Resize in the same step
Keep the size, set a width or height, fit the picture in a box, or scale it by percentage.
- Photo info on or off
Keep photo info (EXIF) is on by default. Switch it off to leave out camera details, date and location.
