Open and create archives
Unzip Online opens ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ and ISO files, lists what's inside and lets you download single files or everything at once. It also fixes garbled file names from older Chinese, Japanese or Taiwanese Windows zip tools. Zip Files packs any files into one ZIP in your browser, without uploading them. Split ZIP, for files too large for email, is coming soon.
Passwords and encryption
Password Protect ZIP creates an AES-256 ZIP that 7-Zip, WinRAR and The Unarchiver open. Encrypt File locks any file with a password on your own device, and Decrypt File opens it again. Nobody, including us, can recover a file whose password is lost.
Checking a file
The File Hash Checker calculates MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256 and SM3 and compares them with the value published on a download page, so you know the file is intact. It can also put two files side by side, a quick way to confirm that a backup matches the original.
What stays on your device
Zip Files, Encrypt File, Decrypt File and File Hash Checker run in your browser, don't use your daily tasks and never send the file anywhere. Unzip Online and Password Protect ZIP work on our server, where the upload arrives encrypted and is deleted automatically after an hour.
