About JPG to WebP
Convert JPG to WebP when a page feels slow or PageSpeed Insights tells you to serve images in next-gen formats. WebP usually stores a photo in a smaller file than JPG at a similar look, and every current browser displays it. WordPress, Shopify and most site builders accept WebP uploads. Transparent PNGs have a WebP converter of their own, listed in Image Converter.
Quality starts at 90, which keeps photos crisp; try 75 to 85 for pages where every kilobyte counts. Under More options you can resize oversized camera photos to the width your layout actually uses, which is often the biggest saving of all. Turn off Keep photo info (EXIF) to drop camera and location data, which trims the file a little more.
