How do I make a PDF smaller for email?

Open Compress PDF and start with Recommended. If the file is still too big, try Extreme, which squeezes images harder, while Light keeps them closest to the original.

Is it safe to sign or redact documents with online PDF tools?

Files travel over HTTPS, each task runs in an isolated process and everything is deleted after an hour. Redact PDF removes the covered text from the file, so nobody can copy it back out.

Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?

Yes. Edit PDF lets you change text on the page as well as add new text, images, shapes and links. For a heavy rewrite, PDF to Word in the PDF Converter gives you an editable document.

What if my PDF is password-protected?

If you know the password, remove it with Unlock PDF and then use any other tool. Password guessing isn't something we do, so a PDF you can't open yourself stays closed.
