Rasterize PDF Pages into Images

Flatten every page into a picture, so the text can be read and printed but not copied.

About Rasterize PDF

Rasterize PDF files you share but don't want reused, like exam papers, price lists, design proofs or a statement with numbers someone might retype into their own document. Every page is rendered as an image and placed back at its original size, so it looks the same but has no text layer, fonts, form fields or hidden objects left. Since the result can't be edited, make any last changes in Edit PDF before you rasterize it.

Resolution sets the sharpness. 150 DPI is fine for screens, 300 DPI for print, and VIP members can go up to 600. Higher values mean bigger files. Keep in mind that a rasterized PDF can't be searched, and OCR could still read the text back; it stops casual copying rather than a determined effort.

Why use Cubfile for this

  • No text layer left

Text can't be selected, copied or edited, and fonts aren't embedded anymore.

  • Same look, same size

Each page keeps its original dimensions, so it prints like the source.

  • Your choice of sharpness

72 to 300 DPI on every plan, up to 600 with VIP.

  • Hidden content gone

Form fields, comments, links and hidden layers don't survive the conversion.

FAQ

Rasterize PDF: questions and answers

Why rasterize PDF files instead of password protecting them?
Copy restrictions on a normal PDF depend on the reader respecting them. A rasterized PDF has no text to copy in the first place, and it opens without a password.
Can a rasterized PDF still be read by OCR?
Yes, OCR software can read text from the images. Rasterizing stops casual copying and editing, not someone who is determined.
What resolution should I use to rasterize PDF pages?
150 DPI keeps files small and looks fine on screen. Choose 300 DPI if people will print it or zoom in on small print. If a 300 DPI file ends up too big to send, Compress PDF can shrink it.
Are there limits on the free plan?
Free accounts get 2 tasks a day and visitors 2 in total, with files up to 50 MB and resolution up to 300 DPI. VIP lifts the task limit, allows 1 GB files and goes up to 600 DPI.
Is the original kept on your server?
No. The original PDF and the rasterized copy are both deleted automatically after one hour.
