About Deskew PDF
Deskew PDF scans that came out slightly crooked because a page slipped in the feeder or a phone photo was taken at an angle. The tool measures the tilt of the text lines on every scanned page and rotates each page by exactly that much, from a fraction of a degree up to about 15 degrees. Pages that are already straight are left alone.
Pages that contain real, selectable text, like an exported report, aren't scans and are kept exactly as they were. If nothing needs fixing, you'll be told instead of getting an identical copy. Straightened pages are saved as fresh images at 200 dpi, so run OCR PDF afterwards if you need the text to be searchable.
