About Remove Blank Pages
Remove blank pages that pile up when a double-sided scanner captures the empty backs of one-sided letters, or when a report export leaves empty pages between sections. Every page is checked, the ones with almost no ink are deleted, and the result lists exactly which went, such as Removed pages: 2, 4, so you can check them against the paper. Dust and scanner specks are filtered out first, so a slightly grey page still counts as empty.
Pages with any real text are never removed, even when the text is tiny. If the result is too strict or too loose for your scanner, adjust Counts as blank when white above under More options. The default is 99%, and lower values remove more. The file is saved with _clean added to its name. If the cleaned scan is still too big to send, Compress PDF can shrink it.
How to use Remove Blank Pages
- 1Upload the PDF
Choose the scan or export that has empty pages, or drop it on the page.
- 2Adjust if needed
The default works for most scans. Under More options, lower the white threshold if faint blank pages are left behind.
- 3Clean and download
Click Remove Blank Pages, check the list of removed pages and save the shorter file.
Why use Cubfile for this
- See which pages went
The result lists the removed pages by number, so you can check them against the original.
- Ignores scanner dust
Tiny specks and noise don't stop a page from counting as blank.
- Text is always safe
A page with even a few characters of real text is kept.
- Adjustable threshold
Set how white a page must be, from 90 to 100%, to suit your scanner.
