About Overlay PDF
Overlay PDF documents with your company letterhead after they've been written in a plain template, or add a background, border or form design to pages that were exported without it. Upload the document first and the letterhead or background PDF second, then choose Behind the content or On top of the content.
A one-page overlay is repeated on every page. With two or more pages, page 1 of the overlay goes on page 1, page 2 on page 2, and the last overlay page repeats for the rest, which is handy for a first-page letterhead followed by a simpler continuation sheet. The overlay is stretched to fit each page, so use one with the same paper size.
How to use Overlay PDF
- 1Add your document
Upload the PDF that needs the letterhead or background. It goes first.
- 2Add the overlay
Add the letterhead, template or stamp PDF as the second file.
- 3Choose the layer
Pick Behind the content for letterheads and backgrounds, or On top of the content for stamps.
- 4Overlay and download
Click Overlay PDF and save the combined document.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Behind or on top
Letterheads sit under the text, while approval stamps or borders can sit over it.
- One design, every page
A single-page overlay repeats automatically across the whole document.
- First-page letterhead
A two-page overlay gives page 1 its own design and the rest a continuation sheet.
- Vector stays vector
Both files are combined as page content, so logos and text stay crisp.
