About Unlock PDF
Unlock PDF files you open all the time, like bank statements, payslips or reports from a colleague, and stop typing the password every time. Upload the PDF, enter the password you already use, and you get the same document back with no password at all. Pages, text, images and bookmarks stay exactly as they were.
Some PDFs open freely but won't let you print or copy text. Leave the password box empty for those, and the restrictions are lifted. We don't crack or guess passwords, so a file whose password you don't know stays locked. The password you type is erased from our records as soon as the task ends, and the file itself is deleted after one hour.
How to use Unlock PDF
- 1Upload the protected PDF
Click Choose file or drop it on the page. Files up to 50 MB work on the free plan, up to 1 GB with VIP.
- 2Enter its password
Type it in The PDF's password. For a file that only blocks printing or copying, leave the box empty.
- 3Remove it and download
Press the button to remove the password from the PDF, then save the copy that opens without asking.
