About Merge Excel
Merge Excel files the way the job needs. Twelve monthly reports can become one workbook with twelve sheets, each copied with its formulas, formatting, merged cells and column widths. Or, when the files hold the same kind of data, like sales exports from different stores, all the rows can be stacked into a single sheet ready for a pivot table. XLSX, XLS, CSV and ODS files can be mixed.
When stacking, Line up columns by their names is on by default, so columns are matched by their header names instead of their places. A file with the columns in another order, or with a column more or less, still lines up: the result has the columns of all files together, in the order they first appear, and names match even when spaces, full-width letters or capitals differ. The header row is used only once, Drop repeated rows keeps a row that turns up in several files just once, and a column with each row's file name lets you tell the stores apart. Charts and pictures aren't copied across, and stacked rows hold values rather than formulas.

Why use Cubfile for this
- Sheets copied as they are
Formulas stay live, and fonts, fills, borders, number formats, merged cells, column widths and frozen panes come across.
- Columns matched by name
Exports whose columns come in another order, or with an extra or missing column, still stack under the right headings.
- No repeated rows
Drop repeated rows keeps a row that appears in several files only once, even with the file-name column added, and the result says how many were dropped.
- Know where each row came from
Add a column with the file name puts the source file in front of every stacked row, ready to filter.
