Encrypted upload. Files are deleted automatically after 1 hour.

About Unlock PowerPoint

Remove the password from PowerPoint presentations once the protection has done its job: the launch is public now, the deck is moving to a shared folder, or you're tired of typing the password before every meeting. Upload the PPTX or PPT, enter the password you already know and download a copy that opens straight away. A Word document with a password goes through Unlock Word instead.

This is for your own files. We don't crack or guess passwords, so without the right one the deck stays closed. The slides, notes and media aren't changed; only the encryption is removed. The password is erased from our records when the task ends, and the files one hour later.

How to use Unlock PowerPoint

  1. 1
    Upload the presentation

Click Choose file or drop a PPTX or PPT file on the page.

  2. 2
    Enter its password

Type it in The presentation's password, with capitals and symbols exactly as set.

  3. 3
    Start the task

Press the button to remove the password from the PowerPoint file. If the password is wrong, you'll be told and the task isn't counted.

  4. 4
    Download the open copy

Save the deck. It opens in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides without a prompt.

Why use Cubfile for this

  • No more password prompt

The copy opens directly on any device and in any app that reads PowerPoint files.

  • Content unchanged

Slides, animations, notes and embedded media are exactly as they were.

  • Owners only

It works with the password you enter and nothing else. There's no cracking or guessing.

  • Password not stored

Your password is deleted from our records the moment the task finishes.

FAQ

Unlock PowerPoint: questions and answers

Can you remove a password from PowerPoint if I forgot it?
No. We don't crack passwords, and PowerPoint's AES encryption can't be opened without the right one. Ask whoever protected the file, or check your password manager.
Will animations still work after I remove the password from PowerPoint?
Yes. Only the encryption is taken off, and the slides, transitions, animations and notes are the same as before. From there the deck can be edited freely or joined with others in Merge PowerPoint.
My deck opens read-only instead of asking for a password. Can this fix it?
That's a modify password or a Mark as Final setting, not an open password, and this tool doesn't change it. In PowerPoint, click Read Only to view the file, or Edit Anyway for a deck marked as final.
Is there a free limit?
Visitors can run 2 tasks and free accounts 2 a day, with presentations up to 50 MB. VIP has no daily limit and a 1 GB size limit.
Is it safe to give you the password?
It's sent over HTTPS, used once to decrypt the deck in an isolated process and removed from our records right after. We never share your files or use them to train AI.
Share Unlock PowerPoint with a friendIt runs in any browser, and they can try it without signing up.
