About Watermark Word
Add a watermark to Word documents that are still drafts, that go to a client for review only, or that must be marked as copies. Type the text, pick Diagonal or Horizontal, set the color, opacity and size, and every page of the DOCX gets the watermark behind its text. When a draft comes back from review, Compare Word shows what the other side changed.
It's placed in the page header the way Word's own Design > Watermark does it, so it repeats on every page, sits behind paragraphs and tables, and still shows when the document is printed or saved as PDF. The document stays fully editable. Chinese text is set in Microsoft YaHei and Latin text in Calibri. Anyone with Word can still delete it from the header, so send a PDF when the mark must stay.

- 4Download the result
Click Watermark Word and save the new file, whose name ends in _watermark.docx.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Behind the text, every page
The watermark sits in the header layer, so it repeats on each page and never covers the words.
- Diagonal or horizontal
Tilt it across the page for a classic draft mark, or keep it level for a quieter label.
- Color, opacity, size
Match your brand color or keep it light gray, and fade it from barely visible to solid.
- Every section covered
The watermark goes into the header of every section, including separate first-page and even-page headers.
