About Transpose Excel
Transpose Excel data when a report lists months across the top but your chart or import tool wants them down the side, or when a survey export puts each respondent in a column. Upload an XLSX, XLS or CSV file and every sheet comes back flipped: the first row becomes the first column, the second row the second column, and so on.
The result holds values only. Formulas are replaced by their results and cell formatting isn't carried over, so the new layout doesn't depend on cells that have moved. CSV files stay CSV; everything else comes back as an XLSX with _transposed added to its name.
How to use Transpose Excel
- 1Upload the sheet
Click Choose file or drop the XLSX, XLS or CSV you want to flip.
- 2Click Transpose Excel
Every sheet with data is flipped in an isolated process. There are no settings to choose.
- 3Download the result
Save the _transposed file. An XLSX holds one flipped sheet for each original sheet.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Every sheet at once
A workbook with several sheets is transposed sheet by sheet, with the sheet names kept.
- Values, not broken formulas
Each cell holds the value it showed before, so nothing refers to cells that moved.
- CSV in, CSV out
A CSV comes back as a UTF-8 CSV that Excel opens without garbled characters.
- Tidy column widths
Columns in the new sheet are sized to fit their content.
