About Repair Excel
Repair Excel workbooks that stopped opening after a failed download, a crash while saving, a faulty USB stick or an email attachment that arrived broken. Upload the XLSX or XLS file and we try to read what's still intact and save it into a file you can open again. To look through the recovered data without Excel, open it in Office Viewer.
How much comes back depends on the damage. A file that was cut short or partly overwritten may lose some content, and formatting, charts or pictures may not survive even when the numbers do. Before anything else, check for a backup or an earlier version in OneDrive, Google Drive or your email, since an undamaged copy always beats a repaired one. With an older copy in hand, Compare Excel can show where it and the repaired file differ.
