About Resize Image
Resize image files for a website that wants them 1920 pixels wide, a shop listing with square photos, or a YouTube thumbnail at 1280 × 720. Choose how: exact pixels, a percentage, or one of eight social media sizes, from an Instagram story to a WeChat article cover and a Xiaohongshu post. When the file size matters rather than the dimensions, Compress Image is the tool to use.
In pixel mode, fill in the width and leave the height at 0 to keep the proportions, or set both and the picture fits inside that box. For social sizes, open More options and pick Fit inside to add a background color around the whole picture, Fill and crop to cover the frame, or Stretch. Animated GIFs stay animated, and HEIC photos from an iPhone come back as JPG.
