About Pixelate Image
Pixelate image details the way TV news does: a face in the crowd, a name badge, a screen in the background of a photo, or spoilers in a screenshot. Drag on the picture to draw an area and keep drawing for the next, or tap to add one where you tap; an area's corners resize it, its middle moves it and × removes it. Oval (for faces) under Shape of the areas you draw gives round patches. With no area drawn, the whole picture becomes a mosaic, for pixel art or a teaser image, and several pictures in one task all get the same areas.
Block size sets how coarse the mosaic is, from 2 pixels, which only softens detail, to 80 pixels, which leaves big chunky squares. The value is in pixels of the original image, so large camera photos need bigger blocks than small screenshots for the same effect. Find and cover automatically reads the picture and pixelates only the characters of phone numbers, ID numbers, bank card numbers, e-mail addresses, any long number or all text, with blocks at least half a character wide so they can't be read back, while the words around them stay readable. Find and cover automatically is a VIP feature, and free accounts can try VIP features once a day. It reads printed and on-screen text, so handwriting and very small or blurry text can be missed, and faces are always drawn by hand. The mosaic becomes part of the saved pixels, the file keeps its format, and location and camera data (EXIF) are left out.
How to use Pixelate Image
- 1Upload your image
Choose or drop a JPG, PNG or WebP file, or several that need the same areas.
- 2Mark the areas
Drag over each thing you want to hide, or tap to add an area. Draw none to pixelate the whole picture.
- 3Set the block size
Pick anything from 2 to 80 pixels, and larger blocks hide more. For screenshots, choose what Find and cover automatically should look for.
- 4Pixelate and save
Click Pixelate Image and download the mosaic version. The result says how many details were found.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Several areas, square or oval
Mask every face and badge in one go, with oval patches that fit faces.
- Numbers found for you
Phone, ID and card numbers or e-mail addresses in a screenshot are read and pixelated, the words around them left alone. It's a VIP feature that free accounts can try once a day.
- Adjustable mosaic blocks
From fine 2-pixel squares to bold 80-pixel tiles, or the whole picture as pixel art.
- Hard edges, nothing to peel off
Each block is one flat color burned into the pixels, and the file keeps its format without location or camera data.
