About Edit GIF
Edit GIF files without an image editor: trim the boring start of a reaction GIF, make a slow screen recording play faster, turn a clip into a boomerang that plays forwards and back in a smooth loop, or fix an animation recorded sideways. Type the frames to keep, like 1-20, 25, and the rest are dropped.
Speed runs from 25% to 400%, so 200 plays twice as fast and 50 at half speed. Play backwards reverses the order, and Boomerang (forwards, then backwards) adds the way back so the loop doesn't jump. Under More options, Turn rotates every frame 90° right, 180° or 90° left, and Mirror flips it Left ↔ right or Upside down. Width scales every frame at once, with 0 keeping the size, and Loops set to 0 repeats forever. Animated WebP files stay WebP and GIFs stay GIF. To cut away the edges of the picture, use Crop Image, which also keeps animations moving.
How to use Edit GIF
- 1Upload the animation
Choose or drop a GIF or an animated WebP.
- 2Pick the frames
In Keep frames, list the ones to keep, such as 1-20, 25. Leave it empty to keep all.
- 3Set speed and direction
Change Speed, tick Play backwards or Boomerang (forwards, then backwards), and set Width and Loops. Turn and Mirror are under More options.
- 4Edit and download
Click Edit GIF and save the new animation.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Trim by frame number
Ranges and single frames, in any combination.
- Speed from 25% to 400%
Slow motion or fast forward without changing the frames themselves.
- Reverse or boomerang
Play it backwards for a rewind effect, or forwards and then back for a loop without a jump.
- Turn, mirror and resize
Fix a sideways recording with a quarter turn, mirror it, or set a new width for all frames at once.
