About Compress Image
Compress image files when a photo is too heavy to email, a product page loads slowly, or an upload form turns away anything over a few megabytes. Add JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF files and pick a level. Recommended looks the same and is much smaller, Strong gives the smallest files with a slight quality loss, and Light keeps the most detail. You can also set the quality yourself. When a form names an exact limit such as 50 KB, Compress Image to KB hits that size for you.
JPG and WebP are saved again at a lower quality. PNGs stay PNG and are cut down to a 256-color palette (128 on Strong), which suits screenshots, logos and charts; for photos, choose WebP or AVIF under More options. Camera, date and location info stays in the file unless you untick it, and the result screen shows how much smaller everything got.
How to use Compress Image
- 1Add your images
Click Choose files, drop images on the page or paste a screenshot with Ctrl + V. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and AVIF all work.
- 2Pick a compression level
Recommended suits most photos. Choose Strong for the smallest files, Light for the best quality, or Custom quality to set a number.
- 3Click Compress Image
Each file is compressed in an isolated process on our server. To switch to WebP, AVIF or JPG, open More options first.
- 4Download the results
Save files one by one or all at once as a ZIP, and check the sizes before and after.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Three levels plus custom
Light, Recommended and Strong cover most needs, and Custom quality lets you pick any value from 10 to 100.
- Smaller formats on request
Keep the original format, or save as WebP or AVIF, which are usually far smaller than JPG at the same visual quality.
- Photo info kept
Keep photo info (EXIF) is on by default, so camera, date and location stay. Untick it to strip them while you compress.
- Clear savings report
The result tells you how many percent smaller your files are, with the total size before and after.
