About Word to Excel
Word to Excel is for the tables that ended up in the wrong program: a price list pasted into a contract, survey results in a report, a rota someone typed in Word. Copying them by hand breaks merged cells and turns numbers into text. Upload the document and every table lands in Excel in one go. Tables meant for a README or wiki can go to Markdown instead with Word to Markdown.
Choose One sheet per table, named Table 1, Table 2 and so on, or All tables on one sheet with a gap between them. Merged cells stay merged, and bold text, cell shading and alignment come along. Values like 1,234.50, -7 or 12.5% become real numbers you can calculate with, while codes such as 007 and long ID numbers stay text.

Thousands separators and percentages are read as numbers, with a matching number format.
- Formatting carried over
Bold text, cell shading, alignment and thin borders come along, and column widths fit the content.
