About JSON to YAML
JSON to YAML turns braces and quotes into the indented style most config files use, from Kubernetes and Helm values to GitHub Actions and Ansible. Paste JSON or open a .json file and the YAML appears as you type, ready to copy into your repository. Values kept in a spreadsheet can be turned into JSON first with Excel to JSON.
Keys stay in the order you wrote them instead of being sorted. Chinese, accented and other non-English text is written as is rather than as escape codes, and long strings stay on one line. If the input isn't valid JSON, the message points to the line where parsing stopped, and a file with one JSON object per line is read as a list. It runs instantly on our server and doesn't count as a task.
How to use JSON to YAML
- 1Paste or open JSON
Paste your JSON into Input or load it with Open file. Example fills in a small config.
- 2Watch the YAML appear
JSON to YAML runs as you type; a syntax error shows the line to check.
- 3Copy or save it
Copy the YAML into your editor, or Save it as a .yaml file.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Key order kept
The YAML reads in the same order as your JSON, which keeps reviews simple.
- Readable characters
Chinese, Japanese and accented text appear as written, not as escape codes.
- Block style throughout
Nested objects and lists use indentation and dashes, never inline braces.
- Nothing saved
The text is converted in memory and not stored.
