About Excel to HTML
Excel to HTML is for putting spreadsheet data on a web page without retyping it: a price table on a product page, opening hours, a results list in a blog post or a CMS. Upload an XLSX, XLS or CSV file and every sheet becomes an HTML table, with the first row as <th> header cells. To pull a table from a web page back into Excel, use HTML Table to Excel.
With Keep colors and borders on, cell fill colours, coloured text, bold cells, centre or right alignment and the borders drawn in the sheet are written as inline styles, and numbers are right-aligned. Turn it off for bare markup that takes your site's own CSS. The result box shows just the table code for copying, and the download is a complete page that looks right when opened on its own: a sheet without borders gets light grid lines there.
How to use Excel to HTML
- 1Upload the spreadsheet
Choose or drop an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file. Every sheet with data is included.
- 2Decide on styling
Keep colors and borders on to copy colours, borders and bold text, or off for plain markup.
- 3Click Excel to HTML
The table code is generated on our server and appears in the result box.
- 4Copy or download
Copy just the table markup into your page, or download the full .html file.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Proper header cells
The first row uses <th>, which screen readers and CSS frameworks recognise as headers.
- Colours when you want them
Fills, text colours, bold and alignment come along as inline styles, or not at all.
- Paste-ready snippet
The copy box holds only the <table> code, without <html> or <head> wrappers.
- Several sheets, one file
Each sheet becomes its own table under an <h2> with the sheet name.
