About HTML Table to Excel
HTML table to Excel rescues data that only exists as a web table: a price list, sports results, a schedule, a report your intranet shows but won't export. Type the address of a public page under Or grab tables from a web page, or save the page from your browser and upload the .html file, which also works for pages behind a login. Each table becomes its own sheet, named after its caption or numbered Table 1, Table 2 and so on. Pages are full of small layout tables, so Tables can also take Only the largest table, which is usually the data. For the opposite job, putting a sheet on a web page, use Excel to HTML.
Header rows made of header cells come out bold and shaded, and they're frozen at the top, so they stay in view as you scroll. Links in cells stay clickable. Cells that span several rows either Repeat the value in each row (sort and filter), the default, or Keep them merged, as on the page. Amounts such as 1,234.50 become numbers you can sum, while codes with leading zeros and long IDs stay text, and extra spaces and line breaks inside cells are tidied up. Tables nested inside other tables are skipped, and addresses on a local or private network are refused.

Thousand separators are understood, while IDs with leading zeros stay as they are.
