About Online PDF Editor
Most jobs in a PDF editor take several steps: fix a date, highlight a clause, sign, number the pages, send a copy as Word. Here they happen in one window. The pages open in your browser; the strip above them holds the tools for the task at hand, and the sections on the left open everything else beside the pages. Press Alt+/ and type what you want to do to find any command.
Edit retypes a line or a whole paragraph of the page's own text (the old words are removed from the file, not just covered), adds text, pictures, white-out, shapes, ticks and links, and crops pages. Comment highlights, underlines, strikes out and marks words with a wavy line, adds sticky notes, text comments, a pen and a measuring line, and saves every comment as a list. Sign keeps your drawn, typed or photographed signatures in this browser, adds today's date and stamps of our own design (with your name and the time if you like), places a photo of your seal with the paper taken away, and sets a seal across the pages' edges (VIP). Forms fills in the fields a PDF already has and adds new ones. Protect blacks out areas or every match of words, phone numbers or ID numbers for good, and sets a password with printing and copying rights. Marks adds a watermark, header and footer and page numbers such as "Page 1 of 12", shown on the pages as you set them. Pages turns, deletes, copies, reorders, inserts blank pages or other files' pages, and merges a two-sided scan into reading order.
Nothing is uploaded while you work, and unsaved changes are kept as a draft in this browser. Saving sends the file once, and the site applies everything in one task with its own PDF tools. Export also offers the PDF converters: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG, PNG, WebP, TIFF, SVG, text, Markdown, HTML, EPUB and PDF/A, for all pages or only some. A PDF made by another tool, such as Compress PDF, opens here straight from its result.
How to use Online PDF Editor
- 1Open a file
Click Open a PDF or drop a file on the page. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, pictures, OFD and more are made a PDF first; you can also start a blank PDF or turn pictures into one.
- 2Pick a section and a tool
Choose Edit, Comment, Sign, Forms, Protect, Marks or Pages on the left (at the foot on a phone), then pick a tool in the strip over the pages and use it on the page.
- 3Adjust what you added
Drag to move, pull a corner to resize, and change colour, size or width in the strip. The bar under an object copies it, puts it on every page or deletes it; Ctrl+Z undoes.
- 4Save or convert
Click Export. Save the PDF (smaller, black and white, flattened or with a password if you want), or choose Word, Excel, pictures or another format and the pages to include.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Change the page's own words
Click a line and type. Paragraph mode retypes the whole paragraph, and find and replace changes every line holding a word.
- Comments you can keep
Highlights, notes and drawings stay as PDF comments, and the list of them, with the words marked, saves as text or CSV.
- Signatures, stamps and seals
Signatures stay in your browser. Stamps can carry your name and the time, and a seal across the pages proves no page was swapped (VIP).
- Redaction that deletes
Black boxes, or every match of words or numbers, remove what lies under them when you save, not just cover it.
- Every PDF converter at the end
Save as PDF, or export to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images, text, HTML, EPUB or PDF/A, for all pages or some.
- Works on a phone
Tools in a strip, sections in sheets from the foot, two fingers to zoom, a signature drawn with your finger.
