About Article Formatter

The Article Formatter sets the format and layout of articles for WeChat official accounts and beyond. Paste a draft from Word, a web page or Markdown: stray fonts, sizes and colours are cleaned away, leaving headings, paragraphs, lists, pictures and tables, and the phone preview on the right shows exactly what will be copied. Pick a theme or one colour and the headings, quotes, dividers and components all follow it; font size, line height, letter and paragraph spacing and side margins can all be set.

One-click layout turns the usual tidying into rules: remove leading spaces and empty paragraphs, read # ## > --- marks, turn numbered and short lines into headings, typed 1. • lists into real lists, space Chinese and Latin text, use full-width punctuation in Chinese, and move outside links into end notes. Each rule shows how many places it would change, and applying them is one undoable step. Components include callouts, info cards, figures, pull quotes, section dividers, steps, timelines, Q&A, two-language paragraphs, pictures side by side, a swipe gallery, an author card, a QR code, contents and endings — all editable in place.

Before publishing, Check lists links that will not open in a WeChat article, pictures that are too large or will turn white, the size against WeChat's limits, text that is hard to read in light or dark mode, superlatives China's advertising law forbids, unfinished TK marks and the length of the title and summary — with one-click fixes where possible. When copying, pictures from your device can be put on this site for an hour so the account's editor can fetch them. Articles and their versions stay in your browser; no account needed.
