About EPUB to MOBI
EPUB to MOBI keeps older Kindles useful. Many e-books you buy DRM-free or download from public-domain libraries come as EPUB, which older Kindle models can't open. Convert the book to MOBI, connect the Kindle to your computer with a USB cable and copy the file into its documents folder.
For a recent Kindle you may not need MOBI at all, because Amazon's Send to Kindle service accepts EPUB directly and no longer takes MOBI files. AZW3 is the newer Kindle format and keeps more formatting, so try EPUB to AZW3 if your Kindle reads it. Only DRM-free books can be converted.
