About EPUB to TXT
EPUB to TXT gets the words out of an e-book for places that only take plain text: an old e-reader or MP3 player, a text-to-speech app, a word counter, a corpus for research, or a quick search through a whole book. Upload the .epub and you get one .txt with the chapters in reading order. A book in MOBI format can be turned into an EPUB first with MOBI to EPUB.
The title and author go at the top, chapter headings are set apart by blank lines, and furigana and other ruby annotations are removed so they don't break up sentences. Chinese books keep the usual indent of two full-width spaces; other languages get a blank line between paragraphs. Save as UTF-8 for modern apps, or GB18030, which covers GBK, for older Chinese devices. DRM-protected EPUBs can't be converted.
How to use EPUB to TXT

Under Save as, choose UTF-8, or GB18030 for older Chinese e-readers and players.

The book's text is extracted chapter by chapter on our server.
- 4Download the TXT
Save the file; it's named after the book file, like novel.txt.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Reading order kept
Chapters follow the book's spine, the order the publisher set.
- Clean text only
Scripts, styles, images and ruby annotations are stripped away.
- Encodings for old devices
GB18030 covers GBK, which many older Chinese readers and MP3 players need.
- Opens right in Notepad
Lines end with Windows line breaks, so even old Notepad shows proper paragraphs.
