About DXF to DWG
DXF to DWG is for the moment someone asks for the DWG and your drawing lives in DXF. You may have drawn it in LibreCAD or QCAD, exported it from Inkscape or Fusion 360, or received it from a supplier. Architects, engineering offices and many clients work in DWG, so we save the file in AutoCAD's own format.
Pick the AutoCAD version that matches the recipient: 2018 by default, or 2013, 2010, 2007, 2004 or 2000 for older installations. A DWG saved for an older release opens in that release and every newer one, so going lower is the safe choice when you don't know what they run. DWG is binary, so the file is usually smaller than the DXF.

- 4Download and send
Save the .dwg and pass it to whoever asked for it.
Why use Cubfile for this
- AutoCAD's native format
The DWG opens directly in AutoCAD and in DWG-based programs such as BricsCAD or ZWCAD, with no import step.
- Versions back to 2000
Save for AutoCAD 2018, 2013, 2010, 2007, 2004 or 2000 so older installations can open the file.
- Usually smaller files
DWG is a compact binary format, so the file you send is typically lighter than the DXF.
- Private conversion
HTTPS upload, a separate isolated process for each job and automatic deletion after one hour.
