About CAD Viewer
This CAD viewer opens DWG and DXF drawings in the browser, so you can check a plan without AutoCAD. It helps on a site visit with only a phone, on a Mac or Chromebook, or when an email attachment needs a quick look before you forward it. Upload the file and the drawing appears on the page.
Zoom in to read a dimension, pan around a large sheet, and switch layers off to hide things like furniture or hatching and see what's underneath. The viewer is for looking, not editing. To print or share the drawing, convert it with DWG to PDF; to edit it in another program, DWG to DXF is the next step.
How to use CAD Viewer
- 1Upload the drawing
Click Choose file or drop a .dwg or .dxf file on the page.
- 2Let it render
We render the drawing on our server and show it in the CAD viewer.
- 3Zoom and pan
Zoom in on details and drag to move around the sheet.
- 4Toggle layers
Turn layers on or off to focus on the part you need.
Why use Cubfile for this
- DWG and DXF alike
AutoCAD drawings and DXF exports from other programs open the same way.
- Layer switching
Hide or show individual layers to cut the clutter on busy drawings.
- Works on phones
Check a drawing on an iPhone or Android phone at the site, with nothing to install.
- Deleted after an hour
Your file is uploaded over HTTPS, rendered in an isolated process and deleted automatically one hour later.
