About Split ZIP
Split ZIP is for files that are too big to send in one piece. Gmail stops at 25 MB per email, many work mailboxes and upload forms allow even less, and a long video, a design file or a zipped project folder easily goes over. Set a part size, 20 MB by default, and we pack the file into numbered ZIP volumes that each stay under it.
Send the parts in separate emails or upload them one at a time. The recipient saves every part in the same folder and opens the set with an archive app such as 7-Zip; all parts are needed to get the file back. Free accounts can split files up to 50 MB, VIP up to 1 GB.
How to use Split ZIP
- 1Upload your large file
Choose or drop the file you want to split. Any file type works.
- 2Set the part size
Enter the Part size in MB. It starts at 20 MB; set it lower if your mail server or upload form has a smaller limit.
- 3Click Split ZIP
We pack the file into ZIP volumes on our server, none of them larger than the size you set.
- 4Download all the parts
Save every part. The recipient needs the complete set to unpack the file.
Why use Cubfile for this
- Part size you choose
Enter any size in megabytes to match a mail server, a chat app or a web form.
- No special tool to rejoin
The recipient opens the parts with 7-Zip or a similar archive app; nothing from us is needed on their side.
- Any file type
Videos, disk images, PSD files, backups or a ZIP you already made can all be split.
- Private processing
The upload is encrypted, the job runs in an isolated process, and the file and its parts are deleted after one hour.
