About SRT to Text
SRT to TXT is for when you need the words, not the timing: quotes from an interview, notes from a lecture, a transcript for a blog post or show notes, a script to translate or proofread. Upload an SRT, VTT or ASS file and the subtitle numbers, timecodes and formatting codes are stripped away, leaving just what was said.
With Join lines into paragraphs on, subtitle fragments are merged into sentences and paragraphs break at natural pauses, so the text reads like prose instead of a list of short lines. Turn on Keep timestamps to start each paragraph with its time, like [00:12:45], and save the result as TXT or as a Word document. A TXT transcript can then be typeset as a clean PDF with TXT to PDF.

Why use Cubfile for this
- Reads like prose
Fragments are joined into sentences, and new paragraphs start at pauses in the speech.
- Timestamps on request
Add [hh:mm:ss] marks at each paragraph to find quotes in the video later.
- TXT or Word
Plain text for any app, or a DOCX with timestamps set in small grey type.
- Repeats removed
Consecutive duplicate lines, common in auto-captions, appear only once.
