About ISO to ZIP
ISO to ZIP turns a disc image into an ordinary archive. Old software CDs, driver discs and course DVDs often survive only as .iso files. Mounting one works on a desktop, but not on a phone or tablet, and it doesn't help when you want to email a few of the files or upload them somewhere that takes ZIP. We open the image on our server and pack the files and folders inside it into a ZIP. Tools for RAR, 7Z and TAR.GZ archives are in Archive Converter.
The ZIP holds the files, not the disc itself, so it can't be used to make a bootable USB stick; keep the ISO for that. Pick a compression level before you start. No compression is quickest for installers and video, which are already compressed, while Maximum helps with documents.
How to use ISO to ZIP
- 1Upload the ISO image
Click Choose file or drop the .iso on the page. It travels to our server over HTTPS.
- 2Choose a compression level
Normal is the default. Open More options for No compression, Fast or Maximum.
- 3Click ISO to ZIP
We open the image in an isolated process and copy its files and folders into a ZIP.
- 4Download and unzip
Save the ZIP and open it with the unzip tool on any computer or phone.
Why use Cubfile for this
- No mounting or burning
Get at the files without a disc drive, virtual drive software or admin rights.
- Directory tree intact
The ZIP follows the folder structure of the image, so setup files stay next to the files they need.
- Compression you control
Skip compression when the disc holds installers or video, or choose Maximum to squeeze documents and text files.
- Gone after an hour
Your ISO and the ZIP are deleted automatically one hour after processing, and nobody looks at them.
