About 7Z to ZIP
7Z to ZIP swaps the 7-Zip format for one that every computer and phone can open. The format packs files very small, but Macs, iPhones and many Android phones can't read 7Z without an extra app, and plenty of upload forms accept ZIP only. We extract the 7Z on our server and hand you a regular ZIP with the same files and folders. Archives in TAR.GZ or ISO format have matching tools under Archive Converter.
For an encrypted archive, enter its password under More options. You can also set the ZIP compression: Maximum keeps the result as small as ZIP allows, and No compression finishes fastest. Nothing needs installing, and the page works the same on a phone as on a desktop.
How to use 7Z to ZIP
- 1Choose your 7Z file
Click Choose file or drag the .7z archive onto the page. It uploads over an encrypted connection.
- 2Set password and compression
Under More options, type the 7Z password if it has one and pick No compression, Fast, Normal or Maximum.
- 3Press 7Z to ZIP
We unpack the archive on our server, in a process of its own, and write every file into a new ZIP.
- 4Save the ZIP
Download the result and pass it on. Anyone can open it with the unzip tool built into their computer.
Why use Cubfile for this
- A format everyone can open
ZIP needs no extra software on Windows, Mac, iPhone or most Android phones, which makes it the safe choice for sharing.
- Encrypted 7Z supported
A 7Z with a password is protected with AES-256. Type the password and we can read the contents to convert them.
- Four compression levels
From No compression to Maximum, pick what matters more to you, speed or file size.
- Private by default
Each job runs in its own isolated process, and both your 7Z and the ZIP are deleted automatically one hour later.
