About OTF to TTF
OTF to TTF is for fonts that come as .otf with PostScript (CFF) outlines when the software you're using asks for TrueType. Some older Windows programs, embroidery and cutting machines, game engines, display libraries for microcontrollers and app build tools only accept .ttf files.
Upload the OTF, confirm that you own the font or its licence allows converting it, and download the TTF. The curves are converted from the cubic outlines used by CFF to the quadratic outlines TrueType uses, which reproduces the letter shapes closely, while hinting for very small screen sizes may differ from the original.
