About Unix Timestamp Converter
A Unix timestamp converter reads the numbers that logs, databases and APIs use for time: a created_at column, the expiry inside a token, the time on a server log line. Paste a timestamp and it's recognized as seconds, milliseconds, microseconds or nanoseconds by its length, then written out as a plain date such as 2026-09-29 11:20:00, the yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss form that SQL and log files use, in the time zone you choose. The weekday and the ISO week number sit beside it, for example Tuesday · Week 40. A live clock shows the current timestamp in seconds and milliseconds, ready to copy. For a JSON Web Token, the JWT Decoder reads the expiry for you and says whether it has passed.
The time zone list starts with your own zone and UTC, then every IANA zone, such as Asia/Shanghai or America/New_York. Each timestamp is also shown as ISO 8601 and RFC 2822 in UTC, along with how far it is from now, such as 3 days ago. ISO 8601 is also what the lastmod field of a sitemap expects. To go the other way, enter a date and time and get its Unix timestamp. For a log excerpt or a column from a spreadsheet, paste up to 500 values, one per line, and copy all the results at once. It all runs in your browser.
How to use Unix Timestamp Converter
- 1Copy the current time
The live Unix timestamp is shown in seconds and milliseconds, each with its own copy button.
- 2Paste a timestamp
Seconds, milliseconds, microseconds and nanoseconds are told apart by their length. For a batch, put up to 500 on separate lines.
- 3Pick the time zone
Your own zone, UTC or any IANA zone. Each result reads like 2026-09-29 11:20:00, with the weekday and week number.
- 4Or start from a date
Enter a date and time, such as 2026-09-29 11:20:00, to get its Unix timestamp.
