About Morse Code Translator
This Morse code translator turns letters, digits and punctuation into dots and dashes, and decodes Morse back into text. It's handy for learning the code, setting a puzzle or an escape-room clue, checking a radio practice message, or hiding a word in a bracelet or a poster design. Letters are separated by a space and words by a slash, the usual written form; when you decode, a slash, a vertical bar or a wider gap between words all work. Puzzles that hide words in hex instead can be set or solved with the Text to Hex Converter.
Play the code to hear it as tones. Speed is set in words per minute (WPM) and the pitch of the tone can be changed too, so you can start slowly and speed up as you learn. The sound can be saved as a WAV file for a video, a game or a lesson. Everything runs in your browser, with no sign-up and no limit.
