About Number Base Converter
A number base converter saves you from working it out by hand when a value turns up in the wrong base: a hex color or error code, a binary flag field, file permissions such as 755 in octal, or an ID written in base 36. Enter a number in the base you have and see it in binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal at once, plus any base you choose from 2 to 36.
There's no size limit on whole numbers. They're handled as big integers, so a 32-digit hex hash or a long database ID converts exactly, where a spreadsheet would round it after 15 digits. Negative numbers can be shown in two's complement at 8, 16, 32 or 64 bits, the way a CPU stores them, so -1 at 8 bits is 11111111, or FF in hex. It all runs in your browser.
