About HTML to Text Converter
HTML to Text reads HTML with the browser's own parser (the scripts in it never run) and writes it out as text the way you choose: headings, paragraphs, lists and tables keep their shape, and entities such as & turn back into characters. There are five outputs: plain text, Markdown, the main content only (menus, headers, footers and sidebars removed), the links, and the tables as CSV.
Links can be written as text (address), numbered at the end or left as text; images can keep their alt text or go; tables can be drawn as a grid or separated by tabs or commas; and lines can wrap at a width you set, with Chinese, Japanese and Korean broken between characters and other languages between words. Copy part of a web page and paste it on the left to get its HTML, ready to convert. Many HTML files can be converted together and downloaded in one ZIP. For Markdown documents you can also use HTML to Markdown.
