About View Page Source
Phone browsers make it hard to view page source, yet you often need the raw HTML: to check a meta tag or canonical link, confirm an analytics or site verification code is in place, look for injected links, or copy a snippet. Enter a URL and we fetch the HTML exactly as the server sends it, before any JavaScript runs, which is what search engines receive first. Text files such as robots.txt show the same way. The Hacked Website Checker looks for injected links and spam redirects automatically.
The source comes with line numbers and syntax colors. Find in source highlights the lines that match, counts them and jumps to the first, and Wrap lines keeps long lines on screen. Under Visit as, choose a desktop or phone browser, Googlebot, Baiduspider or Bingbot to see whether a site serves crawlers something different. Pages up to 3 MB are fetched and the first 2 MB are shown. Copy the whole source or save it as an .html file. To compare crawler and visitor versions, use the Search Engine Spider Simulator.
