About What Is My IP
What Is My IP answers the question as soon as the page opens. You need your public address when you add your office to a server firewall or a database allowlist, fill in a hosting support ticket, or want to confirm that a VPN or proxy is in use. The address at the top is the one our server sees, IPv4 or IPv6, shown with its country, region and city and a Copy button beside it. When the address belongs to a cloud or hosting network, such as Amazon, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud or Cloudflare, the page says so. That usually means a VPN, a proxy or a server, and websites see that address rather than your own line's.
The location comes from our own IP database, so your address isn't sent to any other service to look it up. Your network lists it with the provider and AS number, the BGP prefix (from Team Cymru's IP-to-ASN data) and the reverse DNS name. Your browser shows the user agent, languages, time zone, screen and pixel ratio, platform, CPU cores, approximate memory, and the cookie, Do Not Track and touch-screen status, all read by the page on your device. What your browser sent lists the request headers as our server received them, the same ones every website gets. Copy everything copies the address with its location, network and browser details in one go, and two buttons take your address on to the Open Port Checker and IP WHOIS Lookup. Nothing is stored, and it doesn't use your daily tasks.
How to use What Is My IP

Click Copy for the address alone, or Copy everything to take its location, network and browser details too.
- 3Check the details
Read Your network for the location, provider, AS number and reverse DNS, and Your browser and What your browser sent for what your browser reports.
