About User Agent Parser
A user agent parser turns a string like Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64)… into plain facts. It opens with your own browser's user agent already parsed, so you can see what websites learn about you, and you can paste any other string from an access log, an analytics export, a bug report or a customer's screenshot.
You get the browser and version, the rendering engine, the operating system and version (Windows, macOS, iOS and iPadOS, Android, HarmonyOS, Linux, ChromeOS), the device type (desktop, phone, tablet or bot), and the brand and model when the string names them. In-app browsers such as WeChat, QQ, Alipay, DingTalk, Feishu, Weibo and Douyin/TikTok are recognized, and so are crawlers like Googlebot, Baiduspider, Bingbot and GPTBot. For a log file, paste one user agent per line and you get a table you can save as CSV. A user agent is easy to fake, so check a crawler's IP with Verify Googlebot and Baiduspider IPs. Parsing happens in your browser, and nothing is uploaded.
How to use User Agent Parser
- 1See your own user agent
The parser starts with your browser's string and shows what it reveals.
- 2Paste another string
Paste a user agent from a log, an analytics report or a bug report.
- 3Parse a list
For several at once, put one user agent per line to get a table.
- 4Save as CSV
Download the batch table for a spreadsheet or a report.
