SPF Record Generator

Tick the services that send mail for your domain, add your own servers, and copy a ready SPF record.

About SPF Record Generator

An SPF record generator takes the guesswork out of moving to a new mail host, adding a newsletter or CRM service, or fixing a domain that has no SPF at all. Tick the services that send your mail. The list covers Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Tencent Exmail, Alibaba and NetEase enterprise mail, Zoho, Amazon SES, SendGrid, Mailgun, Mailchimp and Mandrill, Postmark, Brevo, SparkPost, Salesforce, Yandex 360, Fastmail and Proton Mail. Then add your own IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, the a and mx terms, and any extra includes.

Choose what happens to everyone else with ~all (soft fail), -all (fail) or ?all (neutral). The tool builds the record, counts its DNS lookups, warns if they go over the limit of 10, and tells you where it goes, a TXT record on @, the root of your domain. Replace any SPF record you already have, since a domain may only have one. Everything runs in your browser. Once the record is live, confirm it with the SPF Record Checker.

FAQ

SPF Record Generator: questions and answers

I already have an SPF record. Should I add a second one?
No. Two SPF records make receivers return a permanent error, so tick every sender in the SPF record generator and replace the old record with the new one.
Where do I add the SPF record?
In your DNS provider's control panel, add a TXT record with the host @, meaning the domain itself, and paste the generated text as the value. It shows up within minutes to hours, depending on the TTL.
Should I choose ~all or -all?
With ~all receivers treat unlisted senders as suspicious, and with -all they may reject them. Start with ~all and switch to -all once you're sure every sender is listed. DMARC reports tell you which servers send as your domain, and the DMARC Record Generator builds the record that requests them.
What if my record needs more than 10 DNS lookups?
Remove services you no longer use, and list your own servers as ip4 or ip6 addresses, which cost no lookups. The generator warns as soon as the count goes over 10.
Is the SPF record generator free?
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser, needs no sign-up, sends nothing to our server and doesn't count toward any limit.
